NEW eastie parks and playgrounds of 2024
/ Mamma ErinWe have had a frantic last couple of months with new - and renewed - playgrounds opening in the east. In case you missed any, here are the NEW parks and playgrounds for 2024.
Looking for an awesome playground in Doncaster East that has something for ALL of the family? Best to give this one a whirl! In 2024 we have had a giant upgrade and Mamma thinks this is an absolute BEAUTY!
Somewhere....hidden between Boronia and Ferntree Gully .... lies a Dragon themed playground that is fully fenced and now includes water play! Check out Tim Neville Arboretum.
If its adventure they want, ADVENTURE they get. This fantastic adventure playground in East Kew caters for everyone, of all ages and capabilities.
If you’re after a new adventure, then the Stamford Park Adventure Playground is for you. It features a pirate ship for little mateys to set sail on, a lookout tower perfect for spying on parents and heaps more!
Belsay Reserve Chrinside Urban Park Playground is open and ready for adventure. This playground is one of a kind. You really can not miss these giant balloons and makes a beautiful connection to the hot air giants we see early in the morning over the valley.
Sail the seven seas aboard Talbot Park playground’s very own pirate ship or glide through the air on the reserve’s brand new flying fox. With ample ropes to climb, towers to explore, large tunnel slide and multiple swings to choose from, this mamma’s kids had to be lured back to the car with cheese sticks and sultanas.
Trains are everywhere! Trains on the tracks. Trains in the sheds. Trains in the park! I have a feeling there is a theme going on at the Elgar Park.
Mammas, Sir Zelman Cowen Park Playground (formerly Kooyong Park Playground) has had a makeover and he is looking HANDSOME. Nestled amongst the towering trees of the reserve, it’s hard to believe it is located next to the freeway and not deep in bush land.
This playground has just been given a huge makeover and it looks great.
Come down to Flaxlilly park in Officer for a BIG slide and other favourites, such as swings and a seesaw. For those who like to climb, there’s a climbing structure and even a small rock climbing wall, the perfect size for Mamma’s 3 year old. Sit down at the park benches along the path or take a break to refuel at the undercover picnic tables with BBQs.
