bicentennial park, mount beauty

Mamma has found a beauty of a playground in the aptly named Mt Beauty. Bicentenial Park has it all!

This is a playground of two halves - on one side you have all the bright primary coloured equipment of a traditional suburban playground (with a running train theme throughout).

And then… BAM a futuristic, UFOesque pod, climbing frame, tunnel slide and spinning rock bugs (yes, you read right) on the other end of the playground. Both are epic and both are received with equal enthusiasm by the kids.

This place really has been designed for the family to spend hours here. Besides the playground  there is a generous sandpit decked out with toys, undercover bbq facilities, a volleyball net, basketball court, lake, BMX track and skate park complete with ramps and bowl.

the nitty gritty
