This is no ordinary beach. Firstly, it’s nowhere near the coast! This little gem is tucked away in Mount Beauty in the High Country and is an idyllic spot to wander in the winter and splash around in the summer. The grassy banks are lovely to sit and take in the gorgeous surrounds and the water is still and clear. Mermaid Beach is an easy walk from the carpark for all ages too! Follow the path further up to find The Rockpool where there is more flow and some rocky areas to build some rock towers! You can keep walking along the trail if you wish but we spent our time enjoying this magical spot. Keep your eye out for the gorgeous wildlife, we had a kangaroo jump on by just near us! Such a great family activity!
