balwyn park and playground, balwyn
/Oh boy! There is so many options to be had at Balwyn Park. This recreation space has a bit of everything.
The biggest and brightest feature has to be this multipurpose court space. The concrete is covered with different space, line markings, numbers and patterns. You can play modified games of basketball or half court netball, play a game of checkers, hit a ball for a game of tennis or use the space with your scooters. It is one of those spaces where anything goes and the only limit is your imagination.
But of course, there is more. Head up the slope to find the parkour and climbing equipment. This climbing structure is big kid sized, although the little ones will still manage to find a way to play around these funky shapes. This level also has a handful of fitness stations, a table tennis table and a foosball (BYO balls and racquets for these two).
Lastly, there is a playground! This one looks well loved and is laking in the shade department, however there is a great couple of slides, some monkey bars and a very unique football shaped table and chairs.
Mamma’s Special Mention: Feeling peckish after all this freestyle play? One Plus Piece Cafe is just a short walk down the road.
