japara house playgroup, kilsyth

Mamma is so in love with this wonderful space and EVERYTHING that is in it. Set under a huge and gorgeous oak tree, that provides shade (and sometimes shelter), are many different play stations that vary week to week.

To give you an idea the set ups may include play doh, dress ups, pretend cooking, painting, books and more.

Mammas boys always head straight for the cars and trucks before further exploration of the other set ups and a wander through the gardens.

The playgroup is for 0 - 5 year olds and Mamma’s 6 month old loves that she can join in on the fun. There’s books and toys for babies and of course the older kids are interested in these as well.

Wander through the gardens and you will find a tee pee and fairy garden. The space is also shared with a community garden which is lovely to wander around- you can play hopscotch, or make use of the picnic tables as well as the grassed area for ball games.

Don’t forget to grab one of the many watering cans set up to water the garden, or search for the many bugs and critters that live within the space.

It is all free play so your little ones can freely explore the gated space. The facilitator Dean is a qualified early childhood teacher and is very welcoming and fantastic with the kiddos.

Playgroup is free and there is no obligation to sign up for a term. Montrose Community Pantry also runs within the space and is fabulous program to help reduce food waste and help those in need.
