frank thomson reserve, kinglake central
/Now this is a spectacular spot to watch the sun go down or take a peek at the city skyline from the edge of regional Victoria. Frank Thomson Reserve offers you stunning views of the the north east of Melbourne and is a beautiful spot to eat a picnic or just have a stretch of the legs.
Alongside these incredible views is the Kinglake Bushfire Memorial. This reflective space is a peaceful reminder and dedication to the lives lost in the area during the devastating 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires. Read the names of the lives lost in the tragedy and be inspired by the messages of hope in the circular memorial.
Mamma’s Special Mention: There are no toilets here but there are some BBQ facilities at the picnic grounds, or maybe bring some fish and chips with you from down in town and enjoy while watching the day end over in the west.
