curry festival @ dandenong market, dandenong
/We love a chance to celebrate different cultures and cuisines - and so does the Dandenong Market.
This September we will be joining in on the fun celebrating the deliciousness of CURRY! Working with Foodie Trails, the market was the place to be. Prepare for colourful, comforting curries, laced with spices representing Mauritius, Africa, Vietnam, Asia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India, Afghanistan and more.
Like in years past, the event space will be filled with delicious food tents and trucks, with one thing in common - curry flavours. You can choose play it safe this (kids and spice can be a little tricky) and devour some butter chicken and plenty of skewers, OR tantalise those taste buds and have the Koti Roti or even one of Thailand’s fiery coconut-based bowls.
Alongside the food will be heaps of fun for the whole family. a henna tattoo tent, a photo booth and a stage that was chock full of dancing and music. We simply loved joining in on the moves with the Bollywood, Bhangra and Sega dancers. Our 7 year old can’t wait to bust a move again after a long 2 years.
Mamma's special mention: There is always plenty to do, see and eat at Dandenong Market and events are always popping up at this multicultural hub. Check out what is happening HERE.
