a little bit of blue, yarra ranges culture tracks, montrose

Planning your winter school holiday plans? Come check out "A Little Bit of Blue," an interactive puppet detective show that's perfect for kids and parents alike. You'll not only help solve a quirky mystery, but also learn about the fascinating habits of the Australian Satin Bowerbird and its love for all things blue.

The story kicks off with mysterious disappearances from Mrs. Mavis Hooley’s home. Small items like clothes pegs and teacups vanish, leading Mavis to call in the big guns, a Detective. Your little detectives will join the investigation, stakeout, and unravel the case under the cover of night.

And that's not all! You can make this a double adventure by also join the Puppetry of Paper workshop after the show. Kids will team up to create their own unique puppets and learn traditional Bunraku-style techniques. It's a hands-on experience that suits all ages, from preschoolers to high schoolers. Families can enjoy working together and leave with new puppetry skills. Don’t miss out on this creative and engaging holiday event for one day only, on Saturday July 6 at Montrose Town Centre.

There are more events planned for the holidays in the Yarra Ranges too, including Ceramic Workshops at the Memo in Healesville.
