We love playgroups at Mamma Knows Melbourne and PlayBox Playgroup love kids!
Located within the Health & Community Services Department at the Box Hill Institute, this is a facilitated playgroup and it has a pretty unique set up. Sessions run once a week and the program is run by Box Hill Institute Early Childhood teachers and Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care students. This allows the students to practice working alongside little ones and their parents in a purpose built environment. Genius really!
Under the guidance of coordinator Darren, the playgroup sessions are super chilled with stacks of equipment that the students help design, set up and THEN play with the kids. The kids will love exploring the puzzles, mixing coloured water and playing games with the students and this allows for the parents to socialise a little more too! There is more mixing within age groups and lots of extra attention on hand - especially for the smallest ones!
This group is a win-win for everyone!

Term fee – $40 per term
Before commencing at PlayBox, families will need to register with Playgroups Victoria ($40 per year/$30 concession) to cover public liability insurance. This annual payment will exempt you from the first term fee.
