Well this is a cute Sunday afternoon activity. Omaru Alpaca Farm is open to the public on first and fourth Sundays for Farm Open Days where you can get up close with sweet and cuddly alpacas.
You’ll be given straw to feed the animals and you might even spot some cute babies hanging beside their Mums. There’s a little gift shop with some alpaca themed nick nacks and basic tea and coffee making facilities (but no cafe so you are encouraged to BYO picnic or make use of the local wineries for lunch.)
