nurture creek farm stay, monbulk

Mamma has got a super hot tip for you. Take your kiddos on a farm stay, especially when they are little. The experience of first meeting the animals, discovering the sights (and smells) of being in the great outdoors and learning about farm life is bound to be a childhood highlight that will be hard to top!

Mamma and her youngins had the pleasure of staying at a local farm stay nestled within the Dandenong Ranges in Monbulk. Bek and Adam have worked tirelessly to open up this hobby farm to other families and are now welcoming guests to their newly renovated cottage on the property. Sleeping 5, the house has everything you need for an enjoyable stay and farm life experience.

You will love getting to know the animals who are all super friendly and fun to feed and pat. There are chickens and turkeys, alpacas and goats, horses and cows, and, of course, the family dog. While staying on the farm, you are most welcome to help with the feeding the animals or give the horses a good brush, or you can explore the walking trails on the property and simply enjoy being in nature with your family. This may have been our first farm stay experience, but it won’t be our last.

Mamma’s special mention: The cottage has it’s own kitchen and bbq for cooking (and yes - fresh eggs for breakfast is the BEST), but the property has great options nearby for food. We headed towards Avonsleigh and feasted on pizza at family favourite, Bam Bam Italian.
