What a beautiful little spot of nature Mamma has discovered in the suburbs. Koolamara Waters is just perfect for little adventurers. The outside track is paved and Mamma’s boys loved riding their bikes and scooters along it. Cross one of the bridges over the wetlands to get to the other side and there is a dirt path and you will feel like you are in the middle of the bush.
Surrounded by lakes, wetlands, trees and grassy areas (perfect picnic spots and for kicking the footy) it’s really lovely. Mamma’s boys enjoyed climbing trees, playing with sticks, searching for ducks and platypus and going off track into the bush to discover some hidden tracks leading towards the lake.
An added bonus is a little playground with picnic tables. The loop around the waters is around 1.6km and completely flat, although you don’t have to do the whole thing. It’s great for bike rides, prams, running or walking the dog. Mamma’s 2.5yr old did find the dirt track a bit hard so Mamma was grateful she brought the pram as a back up.
