heide sculpture gardens, bulleen
/If you're keen to stretch your art and culture legs but not sure if your kids are ready for a gallery, then Mamma says pack your picnic rug and go exploring in the Sculpture Gardens in the stunning grounds of the Heide Museum of Modern Art. Entry to the gardens and surrounds is free and best of all you can soak up some fab pieces of art and never have to be worried about the noise your super excited toddlers can make running through a gallery. The sculptures vary in size, in styles and are scattered all throughout the property - it makes for a wonderful game to see how many different things the kids can spot. Oh including a familiar buddy to our mate from Glen Park Playspace! If you are after a little more direction as you are exploring the parks, check out the resources available on the Heide website to give you some ideas on what to look for.
Mamma's special mention: Keep you eye out for kids programs that run at Heide on weekends and school holidays as well as Heide Mini Artists. They are very popular and can sell out quickly so don't hesitate in booking.
