heathmont village, heathmont
/Mamma is currently in that tricky time of baby life. The time that the baby is still needing two naps a day and we have that three hour gap that you have to fit EVERYTHING in before the afternoon snooze arrives. So with a list of errands and a number of gifts to buy, Mamma and the little ones hit Heathmont Village.
Luckily, this strip of shops has everything Mamma needs in one place and the store owners at the Village are some of the most loveliest people in the east. Each time we drop in we HAVE to visit our floral friend Jenny from Canterbury Rd Flower Gallery. You can't walk by without grabbing a bunch for the kitchen table. Plus you have to give Millie's Dog Grooming mascot, Daisy, a friendly pat!
Then we head next door to explore at Brolly. So many cool gifts, clothes and kids stuff. Mamma could buy one of everything. Then we jump next door again (this is a triple threat of stores down in the strip!) is Buchanan Design, where Kerry has the most beautiful collection of homewares. Mamma's shelfie goals are right there encapsulated in one store.
There are always more things on our shopping list including dinner, so a stop off at Anton's Fresh Grocery is a must. Nick stocks a huge range of fresh fruit and veg plus some delicious take home meals. The pizzas, the cheeses and the olives are a huge hit in our house!
A quick stop for a gingerbread treat and a babycino at Chapter Too, before heading to see Julie for a little Mamma self care at Heavenly Bliss Beauty. This time it was all about the brows. The team are also the masters of massage, facials, nails and skin care.
There you have it, all things ticked off the list. Kids happy, Mamma kicking goals and now everyone back in the car before the baby falls asleep again!
Mamma's special mention: Heathmont is a massive part of Mamma's formative years with hundreds of hours spent on the netball courts at H.E. Parker Reserve. If you head down Heathmont Road you will also find a cute little playground by the footy ovals.
