A children’s book opens and Mamma comes running! Well not quite, but she’ll certainly sniff out a great children’s book STORE!

Escape Hatch Books is a haven for book lovers with room for story times and play. There are two - well, actually three sections. First - coffee! Then, the adult shelves. And finally, the KIDS SECTION!

The entire back room is for the little ones including the piece de resistance, the Winnie The Pooh nook. It is complete with a tree mural, real doorbell and huge Winnie The Pooh bear inside. He is such a hit with the little ones, they just love having a special space of their own.

The owner, Fran is clearly very passionate about reading and kids books and is available to give information and advise. She also runs free story times each week which are a great opportunity to introduce pre-schoolers to new books, rhymes and songs while socialising and interacting with other children.

This is such a great spot to spend time reading, playing and shopping for lovely gifts or have fun choosing a great new book to bring home for the family!
