burwood village, burwood
/It finally dawned on Mamma recently that she has driven through Burwood Village hundreds of times but never actually stopped. So it was about time to park the car and go for an explore.
The Village is a pretty vibrant spot with everything that a community shopping strip could ever need. From the dry cleaners, barbers, beauticians and florists. The whole retail community is warm and welcoming. We even found some of the most exquisite gifts and homewares from Zinc. The 4 year old was completely besotted with the music boxes and I had my eye on the clothing racks!
The biggest and most delightful surprise was the number and variety of restaurants and cafes. We spotted pizza, Thai, dumplings, noodles, Greek food, a great bar for date night, but settled on having lunch at the Thai inspired cafe Overhear Coffee and Food. We highly recommend the breakfast panna cotta.
There is plenty to uncover at Burwood Village and stacks of fun photo opportunities with street art around many little corners. Best keep your eye out for some great new retailers too.
