boronia library, boronia
/You have to love a library and Boronia Library is a great one! They have a large, welcoming children’s section that has plenty of space to lounge out or snuggle on a couch with a good book or 12 (depending how many the kids decide to pull of the shelf!)
Having the library as part of the local community is such a wonderful resource. Borrow a whole bunch of books to keep bedtime stories fresh, play some educational games on the touch screens (these have a timer too - very helpful for transitions), and often, there are craft activities or treasure hunts set up for the little ones to explore and get to know the library.
The dedicated team run story time three days a week and sessions are either run in the community room to the side of the main library space, or on the carpeted group area amongst the children’s books. Sessions are well attended, involve plenty of songs and movement along the way, and concluded with a little craft activity.
