Enjoys the great outdoors at one of the most lush and tranquil gardens in the Yarra Valley - the Blue Lotus Water Garden!

The Garden team have a new floral event that runs from 21st March to 21st April. The inaugural Bloomin Begonias and the Autumn Flower Season showcases Melbourne’s largest display of stunning begonia flowers spread throughout 14 acres of landscaped water gardens. The showpiece is “Trail of Begonias” that winds its way through 1km of garden paths containing over 300 hanging baskets (possibly the largest floral hanging basket display in the country). Adding to the experience is thousands of magnificent autumn blooms planted throughout the grounds including sunflowers, salvias, impatiens and more. Plus, the display of waterlily flowers the gardens are so famous for continue to put on a show. Especially the Giant Amazon Waterlilies (Victoria cruziana) with their impressive lily pads and unique flowers.

Although … hold that thought about tranquility because over the autumn school holidays there will be so much fun for the kids. Toby the T-Rex will be appearing on the first and second weekends, followed by a full Easter filled program over the long weekend.

So what will we expect:

Join Toby the T-Rex and his best friend as they explore all things prehistoric at the gardens. The show runs approximately 30 minutes followed by another 30 minutes for photos with Toby. Suitable for the whole family and children aged 3 and above. The Dinosaur Show ticket also includes entry to the gardens.

DINOSAUR SHOW TICKETS (all tickets include entry to the gardens): Adult $22. Pension $19.50. Child $6. All children aged 0-15 years must be accompanied by an adult with a PAID Dinosaur Show ticket.

Eggcellent Egg Hunts with the Easter Bunny & Friends

The Easter egg hunt takes place in the fairy garden with the Easter Bunny and other storybook characters. Great fun for the little ones with children searching for artificial eggs and then swapping what they find with the Easter Bunny for 4 hen size chocolate eggs. Plenty of photo opportunities. Each egg hunt runs approximately 30 minutes.

SESSIONS: 10:30am and 11:15am each day over Easter.
COST: Egg Hunt Ticket - Child (0-15 years) $9.00. Must be booked online. All children must be accompanied by an adult with a paid garden ticket.

1pm Storybook Pantomime with Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and their friends. The fun and interactive show runs for approximately 30 minutes in Frog Hollow. (Saturday and Sunday)
11am – 3pm Face Painting Friday - Monday (additional fees apply)
