A sweet little playground has opened on the site of the old Burwood brickworks and quarry. Taking inspiration from the history of the area, there is a giant slide protruding from the brick kiln and the numbers on the rubber matting indicate the layers of fill below the playground.
The brick tower is the highlight. You can play underneath with the musical bars (and these ones are actually in tune!), climb up the rock climbing side to hit the bell, or scale the ladder to reach the start of the epic slide. There is only one way up, so consider if your kiddos are able to climb a ladder (or you are happy helping every time) before picking this playground for your next play date.
There are a few more features around like the see-saw, some rope climbing frames, a spinning pyramid and a small set of swings. The playground has its own picnic shelter with BBQs, as well as a beautiful view of the big open green space below.
