Ladies and gentlemen, Mamma presents to you, Lillydale Lake water play! With nature zones, great artwork built for climbing and heaps of space for imaginative and get-your-hands-dirty play.
There are activities that will engage the WHOLE family in play too with the 'Expression swing' - where you sit looking at your child, plus slides and flying foxes big enough for adults too. You will meet the friendly platypus over looking the massive sand play zone, complete with a running river, water catchers and plenty of rocks to ramble over. Designers heard from children in their consultations that they really wanted a space where their parents would play WITH them - and there is ample opportunity to do so here. Families will be set to grow into this space as well as children get older and more confident on climbing frames.
The biggest kid magnet has to be the splash pad. The button operated water play zone is so tempting for little explorers - so just be warned - it is likely that everyone will get a little wet. Pack a change of clothes and a fresh pair of shoes just in case!. This spot is set to be filled to the brim with kids come summer time.
Mamma's special mention: The Lake is a great family hangout and has been for GENERATIONS! The trail is around 2.5km and nice and flat for bikes. Scooters may struggle on the gravel but it also makes a lovely walk! The coffee van also turns up most days - especially on weekends - but also look out for The Whippy Truck and Green Oasis Smoothies.
