harcrest community garden, wantirna south
/Hidden little treasures are what Mamma loves best! Treasures that suit toddlers right up to soccer loving big kids are even better. This little community playground is both and more. Tucked into the newly developed Harcrest Estate in Wantirna South (you might recall it was the old brickworks) is the community garden filled with some of the latest in playground design. A kind of playground that toddlers can master at their own pace and crawlers have a ball without having to negotiate much prickly soft fall. Two slides with soft inclines, inbuilt trampoline pad and massive sandpit with a resident digger - little ones will totally dig it. Add into the mix some swings and spinners and you are onto a winner. There's a bbq and shelter for when it is time for a snack and a nice green stretch of lawn for a friendly scoccer match.
Mamma's special mention: This is an estate playground so not full facilities, however there is a restaurant - The Keystone - as you enter the estate from Stud Road. Perfect for lunch or an after play time snack. For more playground fun, take a walk down to the Village Square Park.
