deepdene park playground, deepdene
/We love when a playground gets as makeover and Deepdene has had a well deserved up do! The main feature is a train themed climbing structure with a tunnel, rope climbers, fireman's pole and two green slides. All of this is beautifully covered by giant shade sails and overlooks a little bit of water play. A simple water pump that flows over a rocky river bed - it will be a popular place to play on those hot days!
You’ll also find swings, spinners, a railway track, bbqs and the old favourite, the tram. This is the Deepdene Special and comes complete with a ticket booth and luggage office. The imaginative play possibilities are endless on this rocking old rattler. Take a seat on the yellow seats while your ‘driver’ runs from the steering wheels at both ends - you don’t get very far but it is pretty fun, just don’t forget your MYKI (leaves and tanbark are also excepted).
The nitty gritty
partially fenced - off street parking - oval - public toilets at changing rooms - picnic seating - bbqs - shade sail - water pump
