cloverlea estate playground, chirnside park
/We think Mamma is going to rename this funky little space Pencil Park! At the base of the hill in the new Cloverlea Estate in Chirnside Park (previously the Chirnside Park Golf Course) is this wonderful playspace with a great mix of play areas surrounded by a multi-coloured pencil fence. The natural play area - wooden stepping trails, totem poles, a bridge, chalk walls and log bench. A beautiful swing structure with three swings. A spinning seat - big enough to seat 8! A huge climbing frame - not kid tested at this point as the 18 month old is a little scared of heights! Then at the other end, there is a sweet 3 on 3 basketball court AND a huge slide. This yellow monster is a little contentious in Mamma's house. Access at the top is very small indicating it is designed for smaller players yet the incline, sharp turns and overall speed would suit the more adventurous big and kids. Either way - we opt for the half-way up option - bubs (and Mamma) is happy with that!
Mamma's special mention: Kids love a good slide. If that is all that you need to keep your kids happy for an afternoon they will LOVE Quambee Reserve in Ringwood North. Warning - it is not for the little ones!!
