barngeong reserve playground, croydon

Sometimes it's the playgrounds in the side streets that surprise you. Firstly, by the fact that they even exist, but also, they are really well designed and have great new features you won't find almost anywhere else. Barngeong Reserve Playground is that kind of playground.

Situated RIGHT on the border of Croydon and Mooroolbark, this street park has had a recent revamp in 2017. We love the giant slide, the spinner, the community swings and the natural rocky boarder.

But what Mamma loves the MOST and hasn't seen before, is the modern shop window under the slide. Recent advances in technology now has your classic wooden bench, turn a little sophisticated with a cash register, a barcode scanner and a choice of fruit and veg! Ha! We love it!

Mamma's special mention: The reserve is an autumn lover's dream! The massive oak tree that provides valuable shade in the summer afternoons, creates a brilliant blanket of leaves in the autumn. The kids might forget the playground even exisits!

the nitty gritty
