banksia street playground, burwood
/We love discovering that a little street park has had an upgrade. Weather it is an addition or an all over start again, just like at the Banksia Street playground in Burwoood. The locals have loved this spot for zonks as there is direct access to a kid friendly cafe - The Foodinkery - right next door. Although the original playground has gone, and there is no longer a slide or climbing structure, there are some great features to be found. A giant birds nest swing. A wibbly wobbly platform. A seesaw. A spinning whizzy dizzy. Some natural balance beams. A rainbow xylophone and 3 cars for imaginary play. Mamma expects that you will have ample opportunity to explain sharing and turn taking for your little ones as they will need to be patient waiting for a turn on somethings, especially that amazing rainbow coloured car! It is a single seater.
Mamma's special mention: The direct access to the cafe next door has to be the biggest draw card. The Foodrinkery has a brilliant outdoor courtyard that has a gate opening right out to the playground. What a winning combination!
