warrandyte riverside market, warrandyte

First Saturday of the month marks market day down by the river in Warrandyte. This brilliant community market is a mix of all that is wonderful about a market day. In fact, Mamma might go so far and saying this is our FAVOURITE monthly market in the east.

From buying fruit direct from the farmers, plants from the native nurseries or avocados from the back of a ute, there is plenty on offer under these magnificent gum trees. There are plenty of handicraft and homemade items such as bird houses, soaps and beautifully crafted homewares.

Community groups also use this space to chat with locals about the township and current issues facing the community. It is a bustling little hive of activity. Oh and Mamma would like to formally apologise to anyone that had their ankle clipped by her massive three wheel pram over the years

There is parking available onsite. Or, you can find a quieter place up the road and stroll along the river - just follow your nose and you are bound to find the market!

Mamma’s special mention: the coffee is always amazing at Now and Not Yet Cafe, but if you need to let the kids have a run around, there is a little playground up the hill next to the church - look for the blue slides and the platypus.
