the lost woods market, emerald

Mark the second Saturday of the month in your diaries because The Lost Woods is a market not to miss!

Located in Emerald’s Puffing Billy Park, the market boasts over 150 stalls, highlighting local makers and artisans - championing the hand crafted and small batch creatives in the area.

With bunting connecting the surrounding towering trees and buskers dotted across the grounds, Lost Woods manages to balance the vastness of a large market with the glorious community vibes synonymous with country towns.

Grab a coffee or freshly squeezed OJ and peruse the stalls filled with crocheted toys, hand painted vases, witchy brews, magical mermaid figurines and CHICKENS!

Don’t worry, the foodies are well looked after too. With so many food trucks and stalls on offer, breakfast, lunch and dinner is easily sorted. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy the tunes of local musicians while feasting on foods like bao, hot dogs, giant spring rolls and Indian dosas.

The kids and sweet toothed adults will be enamoured by the number of treats on offer as well, with donuts, chocolate covered strawberries, apple crumble and tiramisu available to name a few!

Don’t forget to keep an ear out for the whistle of Puffing Billy as it steams past the side of the festivities. Mammas 5 year old and 2 year old trainiac absolutely delighted in waving to all the passengers as the icon chugged by.

A note about parking from a Type A Mamma who needs to plan ahead - there is not a lot of street parking available around the market so be prepared to stalk down people heading to their cars. There are a few small carparks within walking distance (more information can be found on The Lost Woods Market’s Socials) but if the kids enjoy a bus ride, there is a free shuttle that departs from Emerald Secondary College while the market is running.
