immerse 2024 by knox city council

Knox will transform into an interactive celebration of the arts with the return of Immerse this winter.

From 28 June – 28 July there will be a range of evening projection installations, interactive pop-up events, and surprising performances for community of all ages to attend.

With over 40 different offerings across 25 different locations in Knox, there is something for everyone. You can join one of the programmed Public Art Bus Tours, or a family friendly light show celebrating the beauty of our local environment at Ferntree Gully’s own Quarry Reserve, as well as choreographed performances, light box galleries, and much more.

Mamma can’t wait to see the Night Parrots by Chalk River Labs at Knox Ozone (they are there until July 7) and the Yomeci Fields - a sound-based interactive artwork where colourful chalk drawings reimagine everyday footpaths into playable spaces, these will pop up each weekend across Knox.

The event aims to break away from the traditional ‘art gallery’ setting and to share and celebrate art in unexpected places, encouraging us to experience creativity in our everyday spaces - and just in time for the school holidays!

So, rug up, grab your friends and join in for a magical month of art.
