the cribb cafe, lilydale

Every now and then a cafe will open its doors and hit the nail on the head for catering for the kids and young families.

The CriBB Cafe in Lilydale has done just that. A warm, welcoming space with plenty of room for kids to be themselves in a safe area, all while Mamma can sit and enjoy her coffee!

Kids will gravitate to the outdoor area with undercover seating, lounge and games - or, if the weather is not so great, sit indoors with some books and games. Mamma can just imagine this as the perfect spot for your Mums group catch-ups as there is plenty of room for prams, both, inside and out.

The menu at The CriBB is nice and simple. Plenty of slices, banana bread, bacon and egg rolls, a bowl of wedges, milkshakes and plenty of delicious coffee!

On weekend evenings the space converts nicely into a bar and live music venue - or you can even hire the venue for your next special occasion.

The other great point of difference here is their mission. The cafe supports and is managed by Bridge Builders Youth Organisation. This local charity works with local young people who may be disadvantaged, distressed or in need of assistance. All profits from the cafe go directly to the Bridge Builders to continue to support their amazing work.

Mamma's Special Mention: Next stop … the park. Melba Park Playground is a short walk across the highway and pedestrian crossing is just down the hill.
