Mamma believes every little town needs a place like Spencers Store. A cosy, casual cafe with awesome food choices and where everyone is welcome. Sit inside or soak up some soft rays in the courtyard while the kids sip babycinos and you get a much needed coffee.
The kids menu is one of the best and we always choose the lunch box. Although not actually in a box (much to the confusion of the nearly 4 year old), it comes with homemade sausage roll, plenty of fruit and veg, and a treat to share at the end. Mamma, however, can't go past the waffles, topped with berries and orange cheesecake. Oh MY - delish!
Mamma's special mention: Gembrook is the sweetest spot out east. It is the end of the line for Puffing Billy, so keep an eye out for the steam and go pay him a visit. Plus there are two playgrounds: J.A.C. Russell Park and the adventure playground at Gembrook Leisure Park.
