Shillinglaw cafe has quickly become a favourite family brunch spot in the north east. When there is no rain, sit and relax at an outdoor table while the little one can play in the sandpit under the big tree. It is fully enclosed so there is every chance you can relax as a whole family. Inside is a cosy setup too, with a warm open fire. Just bring on the hot chocolates!
The menu has range of delicious breakfast and lunch options and be sure to check the specials board. Mamma opted for the Rustic Breakfast, even the little one got in on it. There was enough to share. The staff were friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Mamma's special mention: Across from the onsite parking there is the Alistair Knox Park and right next door to the cafe is the Eltham Library who hold a range of storytimes and events throughout the year.
