storytime @ warrandyte library, warrandyte
/Libraries are still an amazing resource even in this age of technology. There is nothing better than sitting with a good book with your kiddo in your lap and sharing a story. There is magic in sharing the special voices and discovering characters with your little one that warms this Mamma’s heart. The local library is also an amazing place of community and story times sessions provide a time where you can sing and dance just like a kid again alongside your neighbours. Sessions filled with nursery rhymes and songs that will be in your head all day. Don’t worry if you forget the words, they are displayed for all to see and there is no excuse for not singing along with your tiny one. Of course, being a library, a book is always shared. A great way to hear a new tale and discover new authors (there are so many!). Sessions finish off with a little bit of craft and you are all set with a new piece to add to the fridge when you get home.
Mamma’s special mentions: If you need a caffeine hit before you head to the library, pop up the road to Now & Not Yet Cafe. And if the weather is kind, have a play at Federation Playspace, down by the river.
