george tindale memorial gardens, sherbrooke

Mamma strongly believes that every autumn every Eastie needs to make at least ONE trip up to the Dandenong Ranges to experience natures finest display of colour! When the leaves start to turn the mountain glows and even simply driving through the hills is mesmerising.

George Tindale Memorial Gardens attest to this. Smaller than some of the other Parks Victoria gardens, this gem is brilliant for getting the family outdoors. Fields of leaves to gather and roll amongst and a few incredible climbing trees to explore.

The paths down to the lower sections are pretty steep and with some stairs in parts, is not too friendly for your pram. There is still plenty of beautiful gardens and lawns in the upper sections - just ideal for a slow grazing picnic.

UPDATE : the spinning rock - not so spinning any more (no longer mounted on the pole thingy), but the rock is still there.
